Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus about 15 large spears
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sumac
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus.
  • In a bowl, toss the asparagus with the olive oil, sumac, salt and pepper. 
  • Heat a griddle pan on a high heat. Place the asparagus on the pan and cook for 5 minutes, turning over for an even grill.
  • Serve immediately.
