Keto Italian Breadsticks
A low carb version of Grissini Italian breadsticks make a delicious appetizer or side to a soup.
Servings: 30 sticks
- 1 cup almond flour
- ½ cup oat fiber
- 4 tablespoons psyllium husk powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 large eggs beaten
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Pre-heat the oven to 180C/350F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium mixing bowl add the dry ingredients and mix well.
Add the beaten eggs and olive oil and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the hot water a ¼ cup at time and mix until you have a dough.
With lightly oiled hands, roll a small ball of the dough into a breadstick.
Roll into your seasoning of choice if required.
Place the breadsticks onto the baking tray and bake for 20 minutes, turning over half way through baking.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool thoroughly.
Makes about 30 thin pencil sized breadsticks.
The net carbs will be the total carb count minus the fibre count. Carb count excludes sugar alcohols.
