A thirst quenching star fruit smoothie makes a great low carb tropical breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium star fruit
  • 1 scoop whey protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon hemp hearts
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 5 oz Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Instructions

  • With a sharp knife, slice the edges from the star fruit.
  • Remove the top and bottom of the fruit and cut into ¼ inch slices. Remove any seeds.
  • Place all of the ingredients into a blender and pulse until smooth. Scrap the sides down if necessary.
  • Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Try a garnish of a star fruit slice.

Makes 2 servings
