    Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie

    Enjoy a strawberry cheesecakes smoothie for breakfast or a light lunch. With a creamy cheesecake texture and the sweet flavours of strawberries, it tastes like a dessert in a glass.

    A low carb smoothie with protein powder is a great way to help meet protein macros on a keto vegetarian diet.  This smoothie has 10g of protein!  I used a vanilla flavoured protein powder for this smoothie but a chocolate or unflavoured powder can be used too.

    How to make a strawberry cheesecake smoothie

    A smoothie is a simple recipe and is a mixture of berries, cream cheese, almond milk and protein powder.   Blitz all the ingredients in a blender and you have yourself a quick keto breakfast smoothie.

    The strawberries must be as fresh as you can get for a great taste.  Frozen can be used for a thicker shake too.   

    Always check the labels on protein powders to ensure that they are not full of sugar.

    How to make this keto vegan

    If you want to make this strawberry cheesecake smoothie vegan, ensure that the protein powder is non dairy and replace the cream cheese with a low carb coconut yogurt.

    A creamy strawberry cheesecake smoothie high in protein and low in carbs for an easy breakfast or meal replacement

    Ingredients
     
     

    • ½ cup strawberries sliced
    • ⅓ cup cream cheese
    • 1 cup almond milk
    • ¼ cup vanilla protein powder
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Instructions
     

    • Place all of the ingredients into a blender and pulse until smooth. Scrap the sides down if necessary.
    • Serve with a squirt of cream on top (optional).

    Notes

    Makes 2 servings at 205g per serving.
    The net carbs will be the total carb count minus the fibre count. Carb count excludes sugar alcohols.
