Full of colour and flavour, a broccoli strawberry salad is a great dish for summer. This salad will be welcome for picnics, pot lucks or any gatherings.
This easy broccoli salad recipe has creamy feta cheese, crisp broccoli, crunchy almonds and luscious ripe strawberries. Each bite of this salad is full of flavour and texture.
What dressing goes on broccoli strawberry salad?
I have used my avocado ranch dressing for this broccoli salad but a simple lemon dressing would work too.
You could also use a mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream for a creamy salad dressing. The dressing should not be too over powering as you want to enhance the flavours.
Can you make broccoli salad ahead of time?
This is a perfect salad to make ahead of time. The flavours will develop and the juices of the fresh strawberries keep the salad moist, without being soggy.
If you do make this salad in advance, add the dressing when you are ready to serve.
Replace the feta cheese with goats cheese.
Change the onions to green onions
Add sunflower seeds or hemp hearts
The salad will store in the fridge for up to 3 days if kept in an air tight container.
