A lime cilantro coleslaw is full of flavour and colour for a great side dish for summer. The flavour combinations of lime and cilantro make this a great dish to serve with vegetarian burgers and my barbeque palm hearts.
This lime cilantro coleslaw is a savory coleslaw recipe made with red and green cabbage, cilantro, green onion, and limes. It goes with everything and is great for a barbecue side dish!
I love coleslaw and most weeks make a batch of it to go with my lunchtime frittata. This makes a nice change by spicing it up with lime and cilantro. You could also add some hot sauce to this too. Or perhaps chop up a few mild chilli peppers too.
Coleslaw is a great way to get some raw veggies in you too! As for the mayonnaise, it goes without saying that I use homemade mayonnaise and none of that white rubbish in a jar! It is very easy to make and far tastier!
Recipe Tips
To save time chopping, use a prepared coleslaw in this recipe.
Any leftover coleslaw should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
